Terms and Conditions

M. Braude - Gifts of Africa (http://www.m-braude-giftsofafrica.co.za) is an online seller of beaded crafts to the final consumer as well as resellers.  The following terms and conditions are applicable to all online sales.

1. Goods are shipped upon receipt of full payment. A 50% deposit may be requested, before production begins.
2. Payments by Paypal incur a charge of 6%, which will be added to the invoice total
The exchange rate used to calculate Paypal amount will be R0.30 less than the published exchange rate of First National Bank of South Africa. Should M. Braude - Gifts of Africa cc receive a material amount more on the payment date than the invoice total, the client will be notified and extra available products will be added or the difference may be donated to a charity of M. Braude - Gifts of Africa cc preference.
3. Unless otherwise stated, minimum lead time required = 1 Month. We reserve the right to charge a premium for specified deadlines, not falling into normal production times.
4. Certain items are not stock items and therefore are only made to order.
5. Should you wish to cancel the order after payment, but before dispatch, a handling fee of 20% of order total will apply and the balance will be refunded.
6. Should we, for any reason whatsoever, be unable to deliver the ordered product/s, we shall allow you the opportunity to select another product or refund to you any payments made in full.
7. Should you request a custom made item, then a sample fee of a minimum of  $40.00 applies ( refundable if order placed of more than $100.00)
8. Sizes are approximate and will vary since all items are handmade.
9. Since each crafter has their own handwriting or creative skill, the actual items may/ will vary in design, colour and size from listed picture or sample.
10. Colours may be specified, subject to type of product, availability of beads and minimum quantities.
11. Copyright pertains to all products made by crafters of M. Braude – Gifts of Africa and the intellectual property vests with M. Braude – Gifts of Africa
12. Copying of crafts ultimately leads to loss of income by the respective crafters upon which they depend for their livelihood.
13. No attempt will be made to copy our designs or ideas, through alterations, use of our intellectual capital or through any other means.
14. No attempt will be made to purchase crafts, made by crafters of M. Braude – Gifts of Africa from any other craft businesses/ crafters or other companies, irrespective if orders can be fulfilled by M. Braude – Gifts of Africa or not.
15. No pictures of our items will be emailed to other craft companies/ crafters, requesting them to make such item.
16. No pictures of our items will be placed upon your website without express written permission from M. Braude – Gifts of Africa.
17. No alterations in design or form will be made to crafts supplied by M. Braude – Gifts of Africa.
18. Prices subject to change without notice. Items subject to availability.
19. While we endeavour to provide products of the utmost quality, due to the nature of the product, no guarantees can be provided, against breakages or defective materials used.
20. No Claims for goods supplied short will be entertained unless made within seven ( 7 ) days of receipt of the goods.
21. Claims for goods damaged must be made within 14 days ( fourteen ) of receipt of order, stating reason and how damaged. Damaged goods may only be returned on confirmation of acceptance from M. Braude – Gifts of Africa. An authorisation number will be supplied (where applicable) which must be noted on the debit note. Credit will only be passed upon receipt of damaged goods by M. Braude – Gifts of Africa.
22. Postage charges for returned goods, damaged or otherwise are for your account.
